With CORE Values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment, working with us will ensure your professional life is provided every opportunity to succeed and develop in your chosen career role.
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region.
Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
The successful incumbent will provide comprehensive genetic counselling services to outpatients and inpatients of Nepean Hospital with supervision from a clinical geneticist, as part of a team based in the Department of Clinical Genetics at Nepean Hospital. You will maintain and develop genetic counselling input into other services such as Obstetrics and the Perinatal Ultrasound Unit at Nepean Hospital and also identify and target specific areas of service relevant to the population of NBMLHD.
This important role will provide formal teaching and in-service opportunities to other hospital clinical staff and students to increase their awareness and understanding of the issues raised by genetic medicine, the impact on individuals and families, and how to incorporate this knowledge into patient care.
If this is the kind of working environment for you and the opportunities excite you, please apply now!
