The Assistant Accountant plays a critical role in the financial operations of the organization, applying advanced analytical and systems knowledge to manage complex income allocations, multi-system reconciliations, and financial reporting across diverse business portfolios.
Responsibilities include processing and ensuring the accuracy of government funding, childcare subsidies, and direct debit transactions; overseeing general ledger integrity through reconciliations, depreciation calculations, and fixed asset register management; and participating in budgeting and forecasting functions.
The role also involves streamlining accounts payable processes through automation and performance monitoring, maintaining compliance with internal policies, and contributing to month-end close activities with a focus on efficient timeliness and precision. By leveraging multiple ERP platforms, the accountant ensures financial data is both actionable and compliant with accounting standards.
