Scarlet Alliance, Australian Sex Workers Association, is the national peak body representing sex workers and sex worker organisations across the country. We advocate for sex worker rights, fighting for social, legal, political, cultural, health, and economic justice. Our work is built on principles of self-determination, peer leadership and community-driven advocacy.
As the CALD outreach worker, you will support sex workers in Lutruwita/Tasmania, including visiting and talking with sex workers, to share information about health, rights, safety, and referrals to other services. You will also help create resources in different languages, take part in community events, build relationships and trust, and help with delivering awareness training for services. You will be part of a national network of peer sex worker organisations and will have support from others doing similar work across the country.

This job is based in Lutruwita/Tasmania with the office based in Nipaluna / Hobart, but flexible working arrangements are available. We are happy for a worker based interstate to do this job while touring regularly in lutruwita/Tasmania. We’re happy to discuss how the role could fit alongside your touring schedule.

This is a maximum term (to 28 February 2027) part-time position of 0.3 FTE (12 hours/week) paid at the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 Level 4.1 - 4.3 ($43.08 - $46.35 per hour) and subject to the National Employment Standards.
