About the Role

  • Full-time, fixed-term opportunity until 31/03/2026.
  • This is a remote position, with the flexibility to work from home anywhere in Australia.

The RANZCP has received Australian Government funding to deliver the Rural Readiness Project to enhance professional, clinical, and social orientation required to practice in rural regional and remote areas of Australia for psychiatry trainees.

This role is responsible for the delivery of seven face-to-face workshops across Australia, the management of a complementary social event prior to each workshop and the elements of contemporary project management, including but not limited to logistics, risk, budget and communications strategies. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate the timely delivery of seven (7) national face-to-face Rural Readiness Workshops, providing clinical and social orientation for psychiatrists working in rural, regional, and remote areas.
  • Oversee project coordination and administration, including research, data analysis, development, implementation, and evaluation of Rural Readiness initiatives.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven project and/or event management experience, including coordination, implementation, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Experience in government-funded or membership-based programs (desirable).
  • Understanding of medical education and/or the Australasian health system (desirable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools for communication, data tracking and project management.
  • Experience in membership or nonprofit organisations and a passion for mental health (advantageous).
  • Australian/New Zealand citizenship or right to work in Australia.
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and obtain a satisfactory clearance.

  • Total Remuneration Package (TRP) from $70,000 to $90,000 inclusive of superannuation and leave loading.
  • One paid day off each month (for full-time employees).
