Looking to take the next step in your property career while contributing to something bigger? The Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Property Officer within its Property and Assets team.
The Senior Property Officer will lead a small, dedicated team in managing a varied portfolio of leased and owned commercial and residential properties across both urban and remote communities. This position will oversee lease arrangements, coordinate contractors, manage property maintenance and compliance, and contribute to the development of long-term property strategies that support the NLC’s operational goals. This position’s work will help ensure our facilities and infrastructure are safe, functional, and well-managed — enabling our broader teams to deliver meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal people in the NLC’s region.
You will have proven experience in property or facilities management and be confident navigating leases, inspections, and contractor coordination. A sound understanding of relevant legislation, strong organisational skills, and the ability to juggle competing priorities will be key to your success. You are someone who communicates well, builds positive working relationships, and takes initiative to find practical solutions. Most importantly, you are committed to contributing to a purpose-driven organisation that supports Aboriginal people and communities.
This is a great opportunity to take the lead in a role where your skills and experience will have real impact. You’ll join a collaborative team that values initiative, respect, and shared purpose. Enjoy a healthy work-life balance and the chance to travel to unique and culturally significant parts of the Northern Territory.
