Selection Criteria
- Accredited post-graduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and full registration as Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA and endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology, or eligibility to progress to endorsement.
- Post-graduate experience in the provision of mental health practice, including conducting mental health psychological assessments, diagnosis, formulation, and the provision of evidence-based psychological interventions for people who are experiencing eating disorders and comorbidities at high levels of complexity and severity.
- Demonstrated knowledge of disordered eating, body image and related social and cultural issues associated with the development of eating disorders and demonstrated knowledge of innovative public health and community interventions to address the development and treatment of eating disorders.
- Demonstrated experience in liaising, consulting on medical and/or mental health issues with health professionals e.g. GP’s, Nurses, Allied Health, involved in the management and treatment of psychological disorders.
- Demonstrated knowledge and willingness to undertake relevant training in evidence-based therapeutic models for effective treatment of eating disorders including Maudsley Family-Based Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for individuals or in groups.
- Demonstrated experience in and application of, quality improvement principles and research.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, interpersonal, verbal and written and the ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
