About the Organisation:

Colac and Otway Disability Accommodation (CODA) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting people with disability to lead full, inclusive lives in the Colac and Otway region.

CODA has been operating in the Colac Otway Shire since 1979, when a group of parents formed the Colac Hostel Association with the aim of creating a community-based accommodation option for their family members.

Since then, the organisation has grown and now provides: Shared Supported Accommodation / Short-term accommodation / Individual Support / Community Participation Activities / Children and Specialist Services / Recreation services / Skill development programs.

About the Role:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the most senior executive of CODA, responsible for leading the strategic, operational, and cultural success of the organisation. The CEO ensures the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services aligned with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and CODA’s mission to support people with disability to live with dignity, independence, and choice.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide inspirational leadership to the organisation and ensure all work undertaken at CODA is consistent with the organisation's Mission and Values.
  • Ensure CODA provides quality, client-focussed service for people with permanent and significant disabilities, enabling them to live more independently, pursue their goals, and participate fully in their communities by providing them with reasonable and necessary supports and services.
  • Plan and implement, in consultation with key stakeholders including the Board, the development and direction of the organisation
  • Promote CODA and its services to current and potential clients, their carers, the community, peer organisations, NDIS, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the organisation and ensure that it operates within policy, financial, statutory and legal obligations.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and learning culture within CODA’s stakeholders’ group.

About You:

An experienced senior leader, you’ll be able to demonstrate sustainable service delivery results, operational excellence and lead by example.

You will ideally have 5-10 years leadership experience, with a minimum of 3 in a related industry such as Community, Disability or Aged care support services. You’ll be driven, and show genuine passion for building capability within your team with an unwavering commitment to quality outcomes and service delivery.

The Offer:

The CEO position is offered on a permanent basis at a competitive salary plus superannuation. In addition, you will be able to access attractive PBI/NFP salary packaging.
