Are you a highly organised and enthusiastic professional with a passion for organising impactful events? Do you thrive on bringing people together, coordinating logistics, and ensuring everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
Older Persons Advocacy Networks (OPAN) is a national network of independent member organisations that give a voice to older people who are eligible or receiving aged care services.
The network provides free, confidential, aged care advocacy, information and education to older Australians, their families or representatives. OPAN works with the government to influence aged care policy through systemic advocacy.
Their collective vision is of a society where older people are heard, informed and respected, and where they can enjoy and exercise their rights to live fulfilling lives.
Get ready to be at the heart of something truly meaningful! In this role, you’ll be a driving force behind the successful delivery of OPAN’s national Diversity Education Program workshops on a national scale. You won’t just be organising events — you’ll be helping create spaces where important conversations happen, and change begins.
Bring your hands-on attitude and collaborative spirit to a dynamic role where no two days are the same. You’ll take the lead on planning and coordinating travel, venues, logistics, communications, registrations, and exhibition booths — the full event experience from start to finish! You will also have the opportunity to attend exhibition events, supporting onsite, connecting with attendees, and also will be responsible for ensuring high engagement and spreading the word to ensure each workshop is a success.
We’re looking for a proactive team player with top-notch administration and people skills, and someone who’s excited to pitch in and support other teams along the way. If you're passionate about making an impact through your strong event coordination skills and love bringing people together, this is the role for you.
OPAN acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first people of Australia and the sovereign Custodians of the country, and in supporting the human rights of older people recognises and respects the human rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. OPAN is an EEO employer and we value diversity within our organisation.
