About the Role

As Assistant Manager Disability Services, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Wayfinder NDIS program, ensuring the delivery of flexible and individualised services that align with NDIS guidelines. You will support a dedicated team of disability support staff and work closely with clients, families, and partners to promote meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Service Delivery:

  • Coordinate and supervise high-quality, person-centred disability support services.
  • Ensure services align with participants’ NDIS plans, goals, and funding.

Build Relationships:

  • Collaborate with participants, families, guardians, and service providers.
  • Promote inclusive, responsive support environments.

Support Staff:

  • Provide formal supervision, mentoring, and development to support staff.
  • Manage rosters, training needs, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Ensure Compliance:

  • Oversee accurate record keeping, incident reporting, and documentation.
  • Manage claims and billing processes in accordance with NDIS and Job Pathways procedures.

Promote Best Practice:

  • Drive quality service delivery, reflective practice, and adherence to safety, compliance, and governance standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven leadership experience in disability or community services.
  • Sound understanding of NDIS frameworks and person-centred approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, assess needs, and coordinate services.
  • Strong skills in client management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities.

Desirable:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Disability, Social Services or related field.
  • Experience working in remote Aboriginal communities.
  • Knowledge of NDIS legislation and remote service delivery.

What You’ll Need

  • Current C Class Driver’s License (essential)
  • National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • WA Working with Children’s Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Flexibility to travel within the East Kimberley region
