About the Role
As Assistant Manager Disability Services, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Wayfinder NDIS program, ensuring the delivery of flexible and individualised services that align with NDIS guidelines. You will support a dedicated team of disability support staff and work closely with clients, families, and partners to promote meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Service Delivery:
- Coordinate and supervise high-quality, person-centred disability support services.
- Ensure services align with participants’ NDIS plans, goals, and funding.
Build Relationships:
- Collaborate with participants, families, guardians, and service providers.
- Promote inclusive, responsive support environments.
Support Staff:
- Provide formal supervision, mentoring, and development to support staff.
- Manage rosters, training needs, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensure Compliance:
- Oversee accurate record keeping, incident reporting, and documentation.
- Manage claims and billing processes in accordance with NDIS and Job Pathways procedures.
Promote Best Practice:
- Drive quality service delivery, reflective practice, and adherence to safety, compliance, and governance standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Proven leadership experience in disability or community services.
- Sound understanding of NDIS frameworks and person-centred approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, assess needs, and coordinate services.
- Strong skills in client management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and time management abilities.
Desirable:
- Tertiary qualifications in Disability, Social Services or related field.
- Experience working in remote Aboriginal communities.
- Knowledge of NDIS legislation and remote service delivery.
What You’ll Need
- Current C Class Driver’s License (essential)
- National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- WA Working with Children’s Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Flexibility to travel within the East Kimberley region
