Ekistica is a professional advisory and technical consultancy firm based in Central Australia with extensive experience delivering innovative solutions to the complex challenges of remote area infrastructure development, across Australia, the Pacific, South Asia and beyond.
Wholly owned by the Indigenous controlled Centre for Appropriate Technology, and with a heritage of working with remote and regional communities that spans almost forty years, our vision is a world where location is no longer a barrier to good technical outcomes: where the appropriation of technology enables people, communities and businesses to reach their full potential. We pursue this by providing high quality, independent technical advisory, design engineering and project delivery services to a wide range of national and international clients that include state and national governments, intergovernmental agencies and development banks/organisations, power utilities, community service organisations, large commercial firms and private investment firms.
You will work alongside our dynamic team of more than twenty-five professional engineers, project managers, engagement specialists and data analysts, in both lead and support capacities, to deliver an exciting and challenging suite of projects with a focus on power systems for remote communities, but also including power systems for regional commercial facilities such as airports and tourism ventures, commercial utility scale wind, solar and BESS projects, and other public and privately funded remote infrastructure developments.
The work will involve travel to remote communities, including overnight stays, stand-alone power system operational data and infrastructure assessment, technical design of upgrades and new systems, development of procurement documentation, tender management and assessment, and contract and project management; and engagement with clients and end-users (eg community residents, support agencies and technical staff) to inform the above.
