The Opportunity

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Systems Analyst with a strong background in payments to join us. In this role you will oversee the ongoing management and maintenance of all CARE Australia websites and our e-commerce and microfinance platforms.

In addition to ensuring smooth running of our platforms, you will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

Working within an innovative team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Website Management: Overseeing WordPress sites, ensuring security, performance, and usability.
  • Payment Solutions: Integrating and managing platforms such as Stripe, PayPal, and donation forms, maintaining PCI-DSS compliance.
  • Analysing and interpreting data from tools like Google Analytics or Woopra and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Systems Integration
  • Leading or supporting the rollout of new features, system upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Enforcing and ensuring best practices for data protection, access control, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR).
  • Maintaining clear technical records, user guides, and training materials for ongoing support.
  • Serving as a key contact for resolving website, payment, or integration issues, liaising with external vendors when needed.
  • Providing support to the Head of Digital, Data, and Projects on broader technology-related initiatives;

Ideally you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in website development and configuring payment gateways
  • Web proficiency with a strong command of WordPress (themes, plugins, security), front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and basic custom development
  • Payment Gateway expertise. Experience with Stripe, Paypal within a PCI-compliant environment will be highly regarded
  • Ability to configure tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Woopra), interpret metrics, and present insights to diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, data privacy regulations, and routine vulnerability checks
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive stakeholder management and experience working within cross-functional teams.

Prior similar experience in a similar role is essential. Knowledge of the INGO sector will be highly regarded.
