The opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Engagement and Advisory, this role is designed for an individual with prior experience or demonstrated strong interest in for purpose work and philanthropy. A key requirement is the ability to convert philanthropic interest into the creation of new funds, and services by engaging with donors and diverse stakeholders across the NFP, philanthropic and professional services sectors.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing and communications team on development of customer journey strategy and pipeline development
  • Qualify all new donor enquiries received across all platforms within 24 hours
  • Follow up on live prospects via donor centric model of engagement
  • Engage with key channels to grow donors in line with strategic and operational goals
  • Expand pipeline and national reach through targeted event attendance
  • Attend events including out of hours to cultivate relationships, facilitate prospects.

You have:

  • Prior experience in the for-purpose sector, or seek to work in this sector and demonstrate a strong values alignment and deep commitment to contributing to social change through philanthropy
  • Substantial experience as an engagement/business development manager proactively and strategically managing a pipeline of prospects, building trusted relationships with a diverse network, simultaneously identifying new potential leads/pipelines for new donors, delivering to KPIs.
  • A strategic mindset with an eye for opportunity and meaningful partnership
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and are a skilled presenter
  • Strong time management skills and enjoy multi-tasking across priorities
