About the Role

Are you a talented software engineer with a passion for the natural world and the expertise to drive forward the development of cutting-edge modelling and analysis? We are seeking someone who thrives on innovative problem-solving with good maths skills and spatial intelligence. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic team to advance our world leading LiDAR based forest measurement technology.

Responsibilities

• Partner with management to design and implement new spatial data measurement techniques.
• Oversee and refine our C++ and Python codebases.
• Train machine learning models using PyTorch.
• Maintain server infrastructure and handle sysadmin duties.
• Process and analyze LiDAR datasets.
• Perform GIS processing with QGIS.
• Provide general tech support to keep our office running smoothly.

Requirements

• Proficiency in C++ and Python with a strong track record in coding.
• Experience in a Linux environment.
• Familiarity with spatial data and GIS.
• Skilled in machine learning and data science techniques.
• Knowledge of LiDAR and 3D point clouds is a plus.
• Strong understanding of algorithm design and implementation.
