Make your mark:

To provide innovative, trauma-informed solutions to meet the therapeutic needs of victim survivors, to support recovery from the impact of their experience of Family Violence, individual play-based interventions, advocacy, brokerage support and counselling.

  • Contact by phone effected family members of men participating in the Family Violence Programs.
  • Development of family safety plans and provide information about family violence and support services for women and children.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and parenting after violence groups for women recovering from the impact of family violence.
  • Work using a care team approach.
  • Contribute to risk and needs assessments of participant women and children.

Skills and experience: 

  • Experience in working with victim survivors of family violence.
  • Group work facilitation skills and experience.
  • Teamwork skills and a sound knowledge of violence and abusive behaviours and its effect on family members as required.
  • An understanding of the Children and Young Persons Act and the Department of Human Services - Protective Services.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of current and relevant theoretical frameworks in relation to working with parents and children in the context of family violence, including effective risk assessment and safety planning. 
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a strengths based framework that empowers families, maximises their choices and recognises their contributions and expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience in working effectively with a broad range of families, including but not limited to Aboriginal families, families from various culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, families living with a disability, kinship carers and grandparents, and LGBTI families. 
  • Demonstrated experience with maintaining accurate case records, data and statistics.

  • Salary packaging is available up to $15,900 plus an entertainment card.
  • SCHCADS award level 6
  • Full time or part time available, permanent. If part time minimum hours will be 4 days per week. 0.8. 30.4 hours
  • Work in community with various office locations across the Goulburn Region.
