When it comes to our environment, the Australian Conservation Foundation has been leading the way in protecting our living world for over half a century.
We are the national environment organisation committed to caring for Australia’s unique and beautiful wildlife and natural world. We’re inclusive, non-partisan and funded by the Australian community.
Whether it’s advocating for the Great Barrier Reef, koalas snoozing in big old trees or for strong climate action, our dedicated community of over 700,000 supporters are constantly working to create a world where forests, rivers, people, and wildlife thrive.
The Social Media Producer is an experienced content creator who has their finger on the pulse when it comes to the latest trends and strategy.
You’ll be joining at one of the busiest and exciting times for the organisation and will be able to play a key role in ACF’s campaign to ensure the next elected Australian Government steps up and takes decisive action to protect nature and fight the climate crisis.
The Social Media Producer films mobile-first content and creates visually appealing infographics and carousels that inform and engage new audiences on issues confronting climate and nature.
Working alongside other content creators in the Media team, the role is responsible for both creative production and tracking and measuring the impact of our content through monthly metric reports.
Reporting to our Media Manager, and working as part of the wider Engagement Directorate, the Social Media Producer has lots of support and resources to help achieve ACF’s campaigns and fundraising goals.
You will have experience working in a social media content creator role or recent journalism experience and have a deep understanding of the tone and audience required for each social media platform.
You love writing captions, creating graphics or carousels on Canva and can use apps like CapCut to create Reels.
You know how to present complex information in simple and attention-grabbing ways to engage our audience and you love tracking the reach of your efforts.
You are a content creation magician who lives and breathes the world of social media, with a strong portfolio of work to show for your experience.
You’ll be deeply immersed in current affairs and politics and be highly motivated to react to ACF-related moments in the news cycle.
You love collaborating with other creatives and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Above all, you’ll need to show initiative, creativity, and originality. Show us what you’ve got by sending in samples of your content.
You’ll do important work with one of Australia’s most impactful organisations, and with our world-class organisational culture and great team, we guarantee you’ll have fun along the way.
ACF is proud to offer our staff a supportive workplace with excellent conditions, including:
